Isla Borrell is a production designer, art director and set dresser for film, television and theatre. She is now based in Toronto, after spending 2013-14 working in London and 2012 in New York. Her credits include art direction for Solitary (feature), production design 2nd unit for Eden Lodge (feature), production design for short films More Cake, Chaser, Twinkle and No Vagrancy, and a studio manager role for Anne Koch Set Design that combined production management and art department assisting. She has worked on television commercials for Ford and Water Works and episodes of TV series 50 Ways To Kill Your Lover and The Jason Phillips Show.
Isla is originally from New Zealand, where she worked in the greens department on The Hobbit, and as a production assistant for Television New Zealand’s Good Morning.
Isla is a graduate of the New Zealand School of Film and Television and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Massey University.
